PERKESO and 7-Eleven Malaysia sign an MOU in Meru, Perak, on June 16 to support Return to Work participants with training, workplace exposure and employment pathways.

The agreement was formalised at PERKESO’s Pusat Rehabilitasi Neuro-Robotik dan Sibernik Kebangsaan in Meru, Perak. Senior representatives from both organisations attended.

The programme gives PERKESO Return to Work participants access to pre-employment training, workforce readiness initiatives, practical workplace exposure and potential jobs in 7-Eleven Malaysia’s retail operations.

7-Eleven Malaysia operates more than 2,700 stores nationwide, which the announcement said could provide opportunities closer to participants’ homes. Participants will receive onboarding, workplace guidance, supervision and ongoing support.

The announcement said this is the first formal employment-focused collaboration between PERKESO and 7-Eleven Malaysia. Both parties aim to welcome the first cohort before end-2026 and expand the programme nationwide.
