IHG Hotels & Resorts’ Ruby brand opens Ruby Frida, a 187-room hotel in Stockholm on June 16, marking the brand’s first property in Sweden.
Ruby Frida is in Kungsholmen near Fridhemsplan, in a converted 1960s landmark redeveloped as a mixed-use site with offices, restaurants and retail.
IHG said Ruby Group will run the hotel’s development, design and operations. The brand became part of IHG Hotels & Resorts after IHG acquired Ruby in 2025.
The hotel is about 10 minutes from Stockholm Central Station by public transport and about 40 minutes from Stockholm Arlanda Airport by direct airport coach, IHG said.
Room rates started at SEK 1,100 per night excluding breakfast. IHG said Ruby had 40 open and pipeline properties as of Q1 2026 and targeted more than 120 hotels over the next decade.
