Samsung on June 16 launched the Spidey Tracker website in 35 countries to promote Sony Pictures’ “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” which opens in theaters July 31.
The site was based on a tracker used in the film by character Ned Leeds, played by Jacob Batalon, on a Samsung Galaxy device to follow Spider-Man’s whereabouts.
Samsung said the campaign includes cast appearances, interviews, live activations, content releases, hidden easter eggs and fan-submitted sightings through SpideyTracker.com and X account @SpideyTracker.
Samsung said Galaxy Z Flip, Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Watch devices will appear in the film. The company said the tracker experience links film content with real-world promotional events.
Samsung said the campaign will run through the summer.
