Proton appoints Grand Motors as authorised Proton e.MAS distributor in Brunei Darussalam on June 29, 2026.

Proton said Grand Motors would handle Proton e.MAS sales, marketing, customer engagement and aftersales support in Brunei. Grand Motors, with over 40 years in Brunei’s automotive sector, would run a dedicated showroom and service centre.

Proton stated the partnership would combine its electrified mobility capabilities with Grand Motors’ local network and aftersales experience.

The company said the introduction of Proton e.MAS would support Brunei’s target of net-zero carbon emissions by 2035.

Proton said the e.MAS range for Brunei would feature intelligent technology, modern connectivity, everyday practicality and a safety package, and that Grand Motors aimed to replicate Proton e.MAS’s success in Malaysia.

Proton noted Grand Motors’ appointment applied only to Proton e.MAS, while PAD Motors Sdn Bhd remained the distributor for internal-combustion models including the Proton Saga, S70, X50, X70 and X90.
