Proton First-Half 2026 Sales Hit 15-Year High

Proton reports its strongest first-half sales in 15 years in Malaysia on July 2, 2026, after surpassing 100,000 vehicle deliveries, driven by ICE demand and Proton e.MAS growth.

Proton recorded 16,052 deliveries in June, bringing first-half 2026 sales to 100,346 units, up 39.1% from the same period in 2025. The company said this was its best first-half result since 2011 and halfway to a 200,000-unit full-year target.

The Proton Saga led volumes with 7,000 June units and 44,375 year-to-date, rising 40% year-on-year. The S70 reached 12,832 units year-to-date, up 37.3%, while the X50 posted 15,345 units, increasing 35.1%. The refreshed X90’s June deliveries of 388 units put it 50% ahead of its first-half 2025 performance, Proton reported.

Proton said 17,920 Proton e.MAS vehicles were delivered in the first half, a 321% increase year-on-year. The locally assembled Proton e.MAS 5 reached 10,793 year-to-date units, while the Proton e.MAS 7 totalled 3,053. The Proton e.MAS 7 PHEV, launched on February 4, recorded 4,074 year-to-date units after exceeding 1,000 monthly deliveries for three consecutive months.
