Insta360 launches the Mic Pro wireless microphone system globally on July 2, 2026, adding an E-Ink display and 3-microphone array for customizable visual identity and adaptive audio capture.
Insta360 introduced Mic Pro as a flagship wireless microphone system for creators, filmmakers, podcasters, and event professionals. The product integrated a customizable E-Ink display on each transmitter, allowing users to upload graphics via the Insta360 app. The display remained visible when powered off and was designed for improved outdoor readability and battery efficiency.
Each Mic Pro transmitter contained a 3-microphone array, using digital signal processing to emulate selectable polar patterns. Users could choose omnidirectional, cardioid, figure-8, and super-directional modes from the receiver or app. An onboard NPU chip powered AI noise cancellation intended to reduce background noise while preserving vocal clarity.
The system supported 32-bit float internal recording with 32GB onboard memory per transmitter, offering mono or stereo recording and automatic file splitting every 30 minutes. Auto Gain Control provided Prevent Clipping and Dynamic modes for different recording environments. Stereo internal recording and 32-bit float recording were positioned as differentiators in its class.
Mic Pro scaled beyond typical two-channel limits with 4-to-1 and 2-to-4 configurations. Four transmitters could connect to one receiver for isolated tracks, while two transmitters could feed four receivers for multi-camera setups. Four-channel digital audio output at 48kHz 24-bit was available with compatible Sony cameras via an optional Camera Adapter.
The product connected directly via Bluetooth to Insta360 cameras including X5, X4 Air, Ace Pro 2, and GO Ultra, removing the need for a receiver in those setups. Each transmitter offered up to 10 hours of battery life, extendable to 30 hours with the charging case and supporting 5-minute fast charging. Timecode sync via TCXO, multi-device compatibility through 3.5mm, USB-C, and Lightning, and broad camera and smartphone support were also listed.
Insta360 stated that Mic Pro was available immediately. The 2-transmitter, 1-receiver kit started at US$329.99. Additional configurations were sold through the Insta360 Official Store, Amazon, and authorised distributors worldwide.
