Fujifilm Launches New QuickSnap Models For 40th Anniversary

Fujifilm launches new waterproof and black-and-white QuickSnap single-use cameras and a hand strap from Tokyo on July 1, 2026, marking the product line’s 40th anniversary.

Fujifilm Corporation announced the QuickSnap Active waterproof model and QuickSnap Black and White model as additions to its QuickSnap single-use camera lineup, first introduced in July 1986. The company said QuickSnap had sold more than 1.7 billion units worldwide.

QuickSnap Active enabled underwater photography at depths of up to 10 meters and targeted use at beaches, pools, winter sports and camping. It featured a durable plastic housing, a larger film advance knob and lever-style shutter button, and included a dedicated hand strap.

QuickSnap Black and White used black-and-white film characterised by sharp images and smooth grain, allowing users to capture black-and-white photographs without special settings or advanced techniques. It was compatible with CN-16 and C-41 color negative film processing chemicals and could be developed at photo labs handling colour negative film.

Fujifilm also introduced a QuickSnap Hand Strap accessory to carry the camera and attach keychains or accessories. The company created a 40th anniversary logo inspired by the QuickSnap design and said it would promote the line through online, social media and in-store channels.

QuickSnap Active and the QuickSnap Hand Strap were scheduled for release in early August 2026 at open prices. QuickSnap Black and White was scheduled for release from September 2026 onward at an open price.
