Marriott Signs Deal For Westin Abha Hotel In Saudi Arabia

Marriott International signs an agreement to open a Westin-branded hotel in Abha, Saudi Arabia, in 2031, marking its first property in the kingdom’s Asir region.

Marriott International, Inc. signed the agreement with Manarat Al Dheyafah Company for Real Estate to develop The Westin Abha in the Jabal Thah Valley. The company said the project underscored its commitment to Saudi Arabia’s tourism objectives.

The hotel was scheduled to open in 2031 and to be Marriott’s first in the Asir region. It was expected to provide access to Abha International Airport and the city centre.

The Westin Abha was expected to feature 464 guestrooms aligned with Westin’s global focus on wellbeing and comfort. Marriott said additional accommodation could include villas, chalets and extended-stay apartments.
