Apple has unveiled its new Mac Studio desktop featuring M5 Max and M5 Ultra chips to accelerate artificial intelligence workflows.

The computer delivers up to 4.3 times faster AI performance and up to 512GB of unified memory. It features built-in Neural Accelerators inside each GPU core alongside higher memory bandwidth. Apple also included Thunderbolt 5, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 6 for advanced pro connectivity. 

Users can cluster multiple Mac Studio units together to run massive frontier-class artificial intelligence models. The desktop is available for pre-order starting August 27, with official availability beginning September 22.
