Proton Donates Drones Valued at RM200,000 for Nepal Flood Relief

Automotive manufacturer Proton contributed drones worth approximately RM200,000 to the government of Nepal to support disaster response efforts following recent floods.

The equipment was handed over to the National Disaster Management Agency at the Special Malaysia Disaster Assistance and Rescue Team headquarters in Pulau Meranti on Monday, September 7.

The rescue team will transport the drones to Nepal as part of Malaysia’s humanitarian mission and provide operational training to Nepalese agencies.

The drones will remain permanently in Nepal to support site assessment, aerial visibility, and long-term emergency response in difficult terrain.

Proton maintains a commercial presence in Nepal through its authorised distributor, Jagdamba Motors, which distributes the Proton e.MAS brand.
