IHG Signs Deal for Hotel Indigo in South West London

IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed an agreement with Westcombe Group to open a 90-room Hotel Indigo property in South West London in 2027.

The converted property will be located at Kingston Bridge House in Hampton Wick, within the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. The project involves the adaptive reuse of the vacant former university accommodation into a mixed-use site featuring the hotel and 22 residences.

The property will mark the seventh Hotel Indigo in Greater London. Owner Westcombe Group is developing the site through its Acre Hotels Collection arm.

Willemijn Geels, vice-president of development for Europe at IHG, said the signing reflects strong owner demand for the brand across the UK and Ireland.

Kamal Pankhania, chief executive officer of Westcombe Group, stated that the development will deliver housing, affordable units, and a hotel alongside local employment opportunities.

As of 30 September 2026, the Hotel Indigo brand had 201 open hotels and 134 pipeline properties globally. Europe accounts for 55 open sites and 23 pipeline projects.
