LONDON — OCTOBER 27 (TUESDAY) — IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed an agreement with ALVA Capital to open a 90-room hotel in Reykjavik, Iceland, in the second half of 2027.

The Holiday Inn Express Reykjavik – Valhöll will mark IHG’s second property in Iceland following the opening of Candlewood Suites Reykjavik.

Located at Háaleitisbraut 1, the property will feature the brand’s Generation 5 design and provide access to the city centre.

The project supports a 2025 agreement between both companies to develop up to 500 hotel rooms across the Icelandic market.
