Sony Launches New BRAVIA Home Audio Line, TV

Sony said it launched a new BRAVIA Theatre home audio line and the BRAVIA 3 II TV in Malaysia on April 14.

Sony said the new audio line includes the BRAVIA Theatre Bar 7, BRAVIA Theatre Bar 5, BRAVIA Theatre Sub 9, BRAVIA Theatre Sub 8, and BRAVIA Theatre Rear 9. 

Sony said the BRAVIA Theatre Bar 7 has nine speaker units, including up-firing and side speakers. The company said the model supports 360 Spatial Sound Mapping and can connect with optional subwoofers and rear speakers. Sony said those additions allow support for IMAX Enhanced content.

Sony said the BRAVIA Theatre Bar 5 is a 3.1-channel soundbar that comes with a wireless subwoofer. The company said the model supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, and works with the BRAVIA Connect app and compatible BRAVIA TVs.

Sony said the BRAVIA Theatre Sub 9 and BRAVIA Theatre Sub 8 are wireless subwoofers, and the BRAVIA Theatre Rear 9 is a set of wireless rear speakers. The company said the Sub 9 has two 200mm driver units, the Sub 8 has one 200mm driver unit, and the Rear 9 has an 80mm up-firing speaker. Sony said dual subwoofer use is supported on compatible models.

Sony said it also expanded its TV range with the BRAVIA 3 II, a mid-tier TV available in sizes up to 100 inches. The company said the TV supports Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, 4K 120Hz, and four HDMI 2.1 ports. Sony said the model also includes an Inclusive Remote Control and a Remote Finder function.

Sony said the BRAVIA Theatre Bar 7, Bar 5, Sub 9, Sub 8, and Rear 9 will be available in Malaysia from June. The company said the BRAVIA 3 II will be available in Malaysia from July.
