IHG Hotels & Resorts said InterContinental Sydney Coogee Beach opened new facilities on April 23 after a multi-million-dollar renovation.

IHG said the Sydney hotel now includes an ocean-facing infinity pool, terrace, Club InterContinental lounge and pickleball courts. It said Èliva Spa will open in early May.

IHG stated the renovation also covered 198 guestrooms and suites. It said Woods Bagot designed the updated interiors for the beachfront property.

General Manager Melinda Lampier said the project aimed to create a coastal retreat for local and international guests. IHG said the hotel first reopened with Shutters Restaurant & Bar in December.
