LEGO Group said it revealed its first Shrek-themed sets on April 23 in Billund, Denmark, with pre-orders starting that day and sales starting June 1.
The press release stated that LEGO Group and Universal Products & Experiences introduced two sets tied to DreamWorks Animation’s Shrek franchise. It reported that the adult set has 1,403 pieces and product number 72423, while the BrickHeadz set has 259 pieces and product number 40923.
According to the press release, the adult set is for ages 18 and up and costs €119.99, $129.99, or £109.99. It also stated that the BrickHeadz set is for ages 10 and up and costs €24.99, $24.99, or £19.99.
It reported that LEGO retail stores worldwide and LEGO.com will sell both sets from June 1. The LEGO Group stated that the release marks the first time Shrek has appeared in LEGO form.
