IHG Hotels & Resorts said it is expanding in Mexico, Latin America and the Caribbean after recent hotel openings added to its regional portfolio.
IHG said it had nearly 400 open and pipeline properties in the region as of the cited period. The company said it added more than 4,000 rooms to its MLAC pipeline last year.
IHG stated that Mexico led regional growth and said expansion continued in the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Colombia and Peru. The company reported recent openings in Mexico, Aruba and Barbados.
IHG said its partnership with Iberostar Beachfront Resorts expanded all-inclusive options in Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica and Aruba. It also stated that upcoming openings included projects in Mexico City and Puerto Plata.
