Sony announced 1000X THE COLLEXION in Malaysia on 20 May 2026 to mark 10 years of the 1000X series and added a Sandstone colour for WH-1000XM6.

Sony said 1000X THE COLLEXION joined its 1000X headphone series as a premium model. The headphones came in Platinum and Black. Sony set the suggested retail price at RM2,799.

Sony said the model used the same noise-cancelling technology as the WH-1000XM6. It included 12 microphones and an Adaptive NC Optimiser. Sony said battery life reached up to 24 hours with noise-cancelling and Bluetooth connection.

Sony said the headphones used a bespoke driver unit with a soft edge and a high-rigidity dome made from unidirectional carbon-composite material. Sony said it was the first headphone to feature DSEE Ultimate. Sony said 360 Reality Audio Upmix expanded to Music, Cinema and Game modes.

Sony said approximately 25% of the plastic used in the product was recycled. Sony said the packaging was plastic-free. Sony said the design included a magnetic carrying case, L/R markings, tactile buttons, and QR codes.

Sony also announced a Sandstone colourway for the WH-1000XM6. Sony said it would be available from early June 2026 at Sony Store BBCC, Sony Store IOI City Mall, Sony Store The Curve and Sony Store Online. Sony set the suggested retail price at RM2099.
