Perodua said in Rawang on June 15 it increased QV-E localisation and output above 500 units monthly, cutting prices and BAAS fees for new and existing customers.
Perodua President and CEO Datuk Seri Zainal Abidin Ahmad said the company and local vendors now manufacture a significant number of parts locally, including car body parts. He said the shift reduced dependence on foreign technology and supply chains and improved spare-parts availability.
Perodua said the QV-E now costs RM93,999 outright or RM69,999 for the body plus RM215 monthly under a nine-year Battery as a Service package. It said a limited-time offer until Sept. 30 sets prices at RM87,499 outright or RM63,499 plus RM215 monthly.
The company said existing QV-E customers will receive a special refund, and their BAAS fee will fall to RM215 monthly from RM275 in the next payment cycle. Perodua said the QV-E uses a 52.5kW lithium iron phosphate battery and has a range of up to 445 km under NEDC.
