Apple TV will premiere the eight-episode second season of its neo-noir detective series “Sugar,” starring and executive produced by Colin Farrell, globally on Friday, June 19, 2026.
Apple TV held a red carpet premiere for season two of “Sugar” at the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles on June 17, 2026. Attendees included Farrell, Laura Donnelly, Tony Dalton, Jin Ha, Raymond Lee, showrunner and executive producer Sam Catlin, executive producer Audrey Chon, and others.
Season two followed private detective and film enthusiast John Sugar as he stayed on earth to search for his sister while investigating the disappearance of an up-and-coming local boxer’s older brother. The case expanded into a city-wide conspiracy and forced him to confront how far he would go to do what was right.
The second season introduced a new cast, including Jin Ha, Raymond Lee, Tony Dalton, Laura Donnelly and Sasha Calle, with special guest star Shea Whigham. Catlin served as showrunner and executive producer under his Short Drive Entertainment banner, alongside executive producers Chon, Simon Kinberg, Farrell, Scott Greenberg and Chip Vucelich. Mark Protosevich created “Sugar.”
Apple stated that the first season of “Sugar” was described as one of the best neo-noir thrillers in years and was noted for a major plot twist. The complete first season was available to stream globally on Apple TV.
