Samsung Malaysia Electronics launches the 2026 Solve for Tomorrow student competition in Kuala Lumpur on 22 June 2026 to spur STEM-based solutions to community challenges nationwide.
Samsung Malaysia Electronics announced the eighth edition of its Solve for Tomorrow programme, themed “Start with Can: Plant the Seeds of Change.” The competition targeted students aged 13 to 15 nationwide.
The contest required teams of three students, supported by a teacher and a mentor, to identify local issues and propose STEM-based solutions. Registration opened until July 27, 2026.
Participants focused on four themes: environmental sustainability, sport and technology, health and education. Shortlisted entries were to be announced in August 2026 on the programme’s website.
The top 10 teams would refine ideas and build prototypes with mentor support, attend a Design Thinking Workshop and join a final pitching round in October 2026.
Samsung directed interested students to register via its Malaysian Solve for Tomorrow webpage. Company executives and an academic from Universiti Malaya said the initiative supported STEM skills, critical thinking and real-world problem solving.
