Proton is supplying S70 sedans to taxi operators nationwide under a government-industry collaboration announced July 3, 2026 in Subang Jaya.

The programme was led by the Ministry of Transport.

Under the programme, eligible operators could acquire a specially prepared Proton S70 Premium in Ruby Red configured for licensed public transport service. 

Participation was limited to operators meeting Land Public Transport Agency (APAD) criteria, including holding required operating permits. Proton said interested applicants could obtain more information at any of its dealerships nationwide.
