Apple TV orders true-crime thriller “Guilty Creatures” starring and executive produced by Julia Garner, adapted from Mikita Brottman’s book.

Apple made the announcement on July 6, 2026.

Apple said the series would be directed and executive produced by Craig Gillespie and adapted for television by Sarah DeLappe, with Stuart Zicherman serving as showrunner and executive producer.

The show was based on Brottman’s book “Guilty Creatures: Sex, God, and Murder in Tallahassee, Florida,” which examined a romance and murder involving two young, adulterous, religious lovers over 18 years.

Apple stated Tomorrow Studios would produce the series, with executive producers including Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements, Alissa Bachner, Garner through Alma Margo, Gillespie and Annie Marter through Fortunate Jack Productions, and Brottman.
