Swatch releases its LOCARNO79 PAY limited-edition watch on July 9 as the main partner of the 79th Locarno Film Festival, running from August 5 to 15 in Switzerland.
The new watch model features a black dial, yellow accents, a leopard-themed strap, and built-in contactless payment technology.
Swatch will host the official opening party on August 5, featuring a video installation titled Precarious Pangolins by artist-in-residence Sam Wilde.
A fleet of festival-themed vehicles will transport attendees from the main train station during the 11-day cinematic event.
The company will also present the Swatch First Feature Award, carrying a cash prize of 15,000 Swiss francs, to a debut filmmaker.
