Malaysian carmaker Proton launches its e.MAS 5 electric vehicle on July 9 in Singapore through distributor Vincar Group on Thursday to strengthen its regional export expansion.

The e.MAS 5 is the second electric vehicle model Proton has introduced to the Singaporean market, following last year’s debut of the e.MAS 7.

Proton stated the model and its Geely equivalent achieved cumulative global sales exceeding 610,000 units.

Singapore buyers receive charging credits, a 10-year battery warranty, cross-border warranty, data roaming, and 5,000 Singapore dollars in benefits.
