Tourism Malaysia announces the total closure of Jalan Raja from July 21 to July 27, 2026, alongside surrounding roads for the Citrawarna 2026 festival.

Jalan Raja in front of Dataran Merdeka will close from 12:00 PM on July 21 until 5:00 AM on July 27. The closure facilitates preparation, operations, and dismantling works for the event.

Additional full road closures will occur for rehearsals on July 24 from 9:00 PM to 2:00 AM. Parade day closures will take place on July 25 from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

The affected parade route spans Bulatan Dato’ Onn to Jalan Parlimen, Jalan Raja Laut, Jalan Esfahan, Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, and Jalan Tun Perak. The access road from Jalan Kinabalu to Jalan Sultan Hishamuddin will also close.

The Citrawarna 2026 cultural festival runs from July 24 to July 26 at Dataran Merdeka under the Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign.
