Swatch announced in July 2026 the online release of the Mission to the Moon 1969 chronograph, a 1,969-piece limited-edition watch commemorating the Apollo 11 moon landing.

The watch features a dial, hands, crown, and pushers crafted from 11 grams of Omega 18K Moonshine Gold melted from vintage Omega spare parts.

Swatch priced the timepiece at CHF 500, basing the cost on the global price of gold recorded on July 21, 1969.

Prospective buyers must complete an online Electronic Swatch Timepiece Application containing 32 questions on the company website between July 16 and July 21.

Only 1969 applicants will receive purchase approval, which requires selected participants to complete their transactions and pick up the watch at a physical retail store.
