New Line Cinema’s film Mortal Kombat II debuts globally on streaming platform HBO Max on Friday, July 24.

The film stars Karl Urban, Adeline Rudolph, Jessica McNamee, Josh Lawson, Ludi Lin, Mehcad Brooks, Tati Gabrielle, Lewis Tan, Damon Herriman, Chin Han, Tadanobu Asano, Joe Taslim, and Hiroyuki Sanada.

Simon McQuoid directed the feature, which Jeremy Slater wrote. The storyline is based on the video game created by Ed Boon and John Tobias.

The plot features champions and Johnny Cage fighting to defeat the rule of Shao Kahn to protect Earthrealm.
