Samsung Malaysia Electronics and Malayan Banking Berhad signed a collaboration agreement introducing integrated Maybank MAE QR payments natively within Samsung Wallet on eligible Galaxy smartphones.

The feature, which rolled out on July 21, 2026, allows users to access Maybank’s MAE Scan & Pay functionality directly through Samsung Wallet. Transactions support local merchant payments in Malaysia as well as regional cross-border payments in Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, and Cambodia.

Samsung reported that transactions made using the feature earn Samsung Reward points redeemable for products and vouchers on the Samsung Members application.

The companies announced a promotional campaign running from July 28 to October 30, 2026, featuring total rewards valued up to RM500,000. Eligible users receive RM5 upon activating the feature, with up to RM15 in additional cashback or vouchers through spending.
