FUJIFILM Corporation announced the launch of the FUJINON Lens XF400mmF4.5 R LM OIS WR, a compact, lightweight 400mm super-telephoto prime lens for X Series mirrorless cameras on Friday, September 4.

The new lens features a focal length equivalent to 609mm in the 35mm format, a maximum aperture of F4.5, and weighs about 1,245 grams.

Its optical structure comprises 21 elements in 14 groups, including two Super ED and four ED lenses to suppress chromatic aberration. It provides up to 5.5 stops of optical image stabilisation.

The unit incorporates a high-speed linear motor with an inner-focus system and includes a Focus Preset function.

The lens barrel features 20-point weather sealing, operation down to -10 degrees Celsius, and a fluorine coating on the front element.

Compatibility extends to FUJINON teleconverters XF1.4X TC WR and XF2X TC WR, extending focal lengths to 560mm and 800mm, respectively.
