Canon Marketing Malaysia announced the EOS R8 Mark II, a 24.2-megapixel full-frame mirrorless camera featuring In-Body Image Stabilisation, on Thursday, September 17.
The successor to the EOS R8 features a DIGIC X image processor, Dual Pixel CMOS AF II, and a maximum continuous shooting speed of 40 frames per second.
The 546-gram body incorporates Coordinated Control IS, offering up to 7.5 stops of stabilisation, a multi-controller joystick, and a single SD card slot.
Video capabilities include 6K-oversampled 4K 60p recording, Full HD at 180p, Canon Log 3, and support for four livestreaming options.
The camera introduces new creative colour filters, a Creative AUTO mode interface, and compatibility with virtual reality lenses and 3D image-conversion software.
Canon also announced three new accessories, including the Extension Grip EG-E2, Tripod Grip HG-1000TBR, and Speedlite EL-5 (Ver. 2).
