Honda Malaysia officially rolled out the new City Hatchback from its Melaka manufacturing plant on Tuesday, October 6.
Japanese Ambassador to Malaysia Shikata Noriyuki witnessed the production rollout ceremony. Managing Director Narushi Yazaki said the rollout reflects manufacturing excellence, innovation, and sustainable growth.
Honda Malaysia began local manufacturing in 2003. The company currently partners with approximately 500 local suppliers.
A workforce of nearly 20,000 associates supports operations across Honda Malaysia, its dealership network, and supplier partners.
The City Hatchback has recorded cumulative sales of over 51,000 units in Malaysia since its 2021 introduction. The refreshed model features updated styling, enhanced connectivity, and signature seat configurations.
