Apple reported that 30% of the material in products shipped in 2025 came from recycled sources. The company used 100% recycled cobalt in batteries, 100% recycled rare earth elements in magnets, and 100% recycled gold plating and tin soldering in printed circuit boards.

Apple replaced plastic packaging with fibre-based materials . The company stated it avoided 15,000 metric tons of plastic over five years.

The MacBook Neo contained 60% recycled content . The device’s manufacturing utilised a forming process that used half the raw material required by traditional machining. Anodization for the device achieved a 70% water reuse rate.

Apple and its suppliers used 20 gigawatts of renewable energy . The company reported that its 2025 greenhouse gas emissions were 60% lower than in 2015.

Apple facilities reached a 75%waste diversion rate. Apple Fifth Avenue diverted more than 90% of waste from landfills. Suppliers redirected 600,000 metric tons of waste from landfills.

Apple replenished 800 million gallons of water in 2025. This amount represented more than half of the water the company withdrew for its facilities.

The company used Cora, an electronics-recycling line in California, and A.R.I.S., a detection system, to process devices.
