Skechers opens pickleball registration

Skechers says registration is now open for its fourth International Pickleball Tournament in Malaysia, which it says will run from May 8 to 10 at Tomaz Pickleball Club in Subang Jaya.

Body: In a media alert sent on April 21, the company said the event was the fourth edition of the Skechers International Pickleball Tournament – Malaysia Edition 2026.

Skechers said the tournament would offer a total prize pool of up to RM100,000. It said winners in the Open categories could receive up to RM3,500 in cash and a pair of Skechers Viper Court Pro shoes. The source said cash prizes would depend on the minimum number of entries in each category and that organisers could make changes at their discretion.

According to Skechers, the event would include 30 categories across men’s singles, women’s singles, doubles and mixed doubles. The company said the categories would cover four groups: Junior (U18), Novice, Intermediate and Open. It said the age bands would vary by category.

Skechers said all matches would be recorded under the DUPR, or Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating, system. It described DUPR as a global player rating system.

The company said each registered participant would receive a T-shirt, a voucher and sponsor items. It said the registration fees would range from RM100 to RM185 per person and from RM200 to RM370 per team, depending on the category.

Skechers said registration was available through the Baseline registration link. It said players could contact the Baseline hotline or the tournament rules contact number for event-related enquiries.

Skechers said Malaysia had about 100,000 active pickleball players nationwide.
