IHG Hotels & Resorts said it has signed agreements for two Holiday Inn hotels in Aswan, Egypt, adding 400 rooms to its pipeline in Egypt.

IHG said on April 29 that it signed management agreements with Misr Holanda and Avenue for Development. The company said the hotels are Holiday Inn Aswan and Holiday Inn Resort New Aswan.

IHG said each property will have 200 rooms. The company said Holiday Inn Aswan is due to open in 2029, while Holiday Inn Resort New Aswan is due to open in 2030.

IHG said it currently operates 10 hotels in Egypt across five brands. The company said its development pipeline in Egypt includes 23 more hotels.
