Apple on May 19, 2026 previewed accessibility updates in Cupertino, California, using Apple Intelligence to expand access across devices later this year.

Apple said updates would add detailed descriptions and natural-language navigation to VoiceOver, Magnifier, Voice Control, and Accessibility Reader. Apple also announced the availability of generated subtitles for uncaptioned videos across its ecosystem.

Apple said Apple Vision Pro would let users control compatible power wheelchairs with their eyes. The feature launches in the U.S. with Tolt and LUCI systems.

Apple said generated subtitles would appear automatically on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision Pro. Apple also said that the Hikawa Grip & Stand for iPhone is now available worldwide online.
