Samsung, Google Unveil Intelligent Eyewear Designs

Samsung Electronics and Google unveiled intelligent eyewear designs with Gentle Monster and Warby Parker at Google I/O 2026 in Korea on May 20, 2026, as a phone companion.

Samsung said the eyewear enabled voice interaction, phone connectivity, navigation assistance, summarised notifications, calendar additions, photo capture, and task management within the Galaxy ecosystem. The companies said users could ask Gemini for help, receive route-based suggestions, and place pickup orders.

Samsung said the device provided real-time translations with audio matching the speaker’s voice and translated text on menus or signs in the user’s line of sight. The source said the eyewear was designed to keep users’ hands free and heads up.

The companies said Gentle Monster and Warby Parker created two premium styles. Samsung said each brand brought a distinct design approach to the device.

Samsung said the first collections were scheduled to launch this fall in select markets. The source said availability could vary by market, and product details could change without notice.
