IHG opens two ANA Holiday Inn hotels in Japan

IHG Hotels & Resorts announced on 22 May 2026 the opening of ANA Holiday Inn Kobe Sanda and ANA Holiday Inn Tosu as the first international full-service hotels in their respective Japanese cities.

IHG Hotels & Resorts said ANA Holiday Inn Kobe Sanda welcomed its first guests on 27 April 2026. ANA Holiday Inn Tosu opened on 28 April 2026. Both properties were operated by Select Hotels Group. IHG stated that both hotels marked a milestone for the Holiday Inn brand in Japan.

IHG said ANA Holiday Inn Kobe Sanda was located in Sanda City, Hyogo Prefecture, a one-minute walk from Woody Town Chuo Station on the Kobe Electric Railway and less than ten minutes’ drive from the Kobe-Sanda Interchange. The hotel featured 130 guestrooms, including doubles, twins and a Japanese-style room with tatami flooring and a low-set layout. The property used Holiday Inn’s open lobby layout.

According to IHG, ANA Holiday Inn Tosu opened in Tosu City at the crossroads of the Kyushu, Nagasaki and Oita expressways at Tosu Junction. The hotel was five minutes by car from JR Tosu Station and about 40 minutes from Fukuoka Airport. The property had 127 modern guestrooms and suites with single, twin and suite options.

IHG said both hotels featured Apple Road, the signature restaurant at each hotel, offering freshly sourced local and international dishes for daily buffet breakfast and providing space for lunch and dinner. Each hotel offered six flexible Meetings & Events spaces accommodating up to 250 guests. IHG stated kids aged 12 and under could use the Kids Stay & Eat Free program.
