Marriott International said on June 12 that it opened its 10,000th property globally, the 127-room JW Marriott Ranthambore Resort & Spa near Ranthambore National Park in India.
The company announced the opening from Singapore as it approached its 100th anniversary. It said its portfolio now spans 10,000 properties across 146 countries and territories.
The resort includes 127 accommodations, including private villas, guestrooms and suites. Marriott said the JW Marriott brand now has more than 130 properties globally.
Marriott said its luxury portfolio spans nearly 700 properties across 74 countries and territories. Company leaders, including David Marriott and Rajeev Menon, attended the opening.
The company also cited recent openings, including The St. Regis Budapest, The Westin Playa Vallarta, Artik Suzhou, Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy, and StudioRes by Marriott Greensboro Airport.
