Kia Concludes 12th Skill World Cup In South Korea

Kia Corporation concludes its 12th biennial Skill World Cup technical competition in South Korea to evaluate and reward top global service technicians from 40 countries.

The event took place from May 19 to 21 at locations in Seoul and Yongin. Forty-two regional finalists completed written and practical diagnostics examinations.

The 2026 competition introduced new electric vehicle evaluation criteria. Testing also featured an expanded range of vehicle models to simulate real-world scenarios.

Tom Sharples of the United Kingdom won the Gold Award and 5,000 USD. Technicians from China and the United States secured Silver Awards.
