IHG Hotels & Resorts signs a 158-key conversion hotel in Krabi, Thailand, in partnership with Chok Deesuk Co., Ltd., scheduled to open by late 2026.

The property will rebrand as Holiday Inn Express Krabi Ao Nang following a comprehensive renovation. The project marks the brand’s first Generation 5 design deployment in Thailand and second in Southeast Asia.

The hotel sits one kilometre from Ao Nang Beach and 40 minutes from Krabi International Airport. Facilities will include an all-day dining restaurant, pool bar, swimming pool, and fitness centre.

Chok Deesuk Co., Ltd. also owns the nearby Holiday Inn Resort Krabi Ao Nang Beach. IHG reported that conversions represented nearly 40% of its signed keys in Thailand in 2025.

IHG operates 42 hotels across 11 brands in Thailand, with 39 additional properties in its development pipeline.
