Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua Sdn Bhd reduces prices for its Axia vehicle model in Malaysia by up to RM4,700 effective Aug. 3, 2026, citing operational efficiency savings.
The largest price reduction applies to the Axia 1.0G variant, which dropped by RM4,700 to RM33,900 in Peninsular Malaysia and RM35,900 in East Malaysia. Prices for the 1.0X, 1.0SE, and 1.0AV variants decreased by RM1,500, RM1,000, and RM500, respectively.
The automaker stated that vehicle specifications and quality standards remain unchanged, with savings resulting from internal process improvements. Perodua President and Chief Executive Officer Dato’ Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad said the revision aims to ease cost pressures for customers.
Zainal added that operational effectiveness also led to reduced service costs and revised pricing for the company’s electric vehicle offerings.
