IHG Hotels & Resorts announced that it has signed an agreement with KCC Holdings Group to open the 107-room voco Muar in Johor later this year on August 6, 2026.

The property marks the first international-branded hotel in Muar and IHG’s second voco brand location in Malaysia following Kuching. Construction is in advanced stages within KCC City Business Park, with interior design work currently underway.

The hotel will feature food and beverage outlets, meeting spaces, an infinity pool, a gym, and a grand ballroom. The site sits a 40-minute drive from Malacca.
