InterContinental Hotels & Resorts has launched its “DOORS UNLOCKED” program in Greater China to commemorate the brand’s 80th anniversary on August 11, 2026.

The initiative pairs curated hotel stays with exclusive theatre performances and backstage access across key cities, starting in Beijing and Shanghai. InterContinental partnered with performing arts institutions, including the Beijing Tianqiao Performing Arts Centre and Shanghai Culture Square.

On August 5, InterContinental Beijing Sanlitun hosted an anniversary event featuring an immersive performance by artists from six national troupes. The hotel brand currently operates more than 240 properties globally, with nearly 100 open and pipeline hotels across Greater China.
