Universiti Teknologi Malaysia hosted an international scientific seminar examining microbiome science and selective smart anti-infective hygiene standards at its campus on Wednesday, September 2.
The event was organised by the university’s Innovation Centre in Agritechnology for Advanced Bioprocessing alongside the World BioEconomy Association and SATEERA®.
Participants included scientific, clinical, and industry experts from Malaysia, Finland, South Africa, Egypt, the United States, and Indonesia.
Presentations covered research on a mangrove-derived extract, clinical evaluations in primary care, and the Kuala Lumpur Scientific Declaration 2026.
The declaration commits participating organisations to ongoing research, independent validation, and international collaboration regarding selective anti-infective methods.
