Proton New Energy Technology Sdn Bhd signed a Letter of Intent with TVETMARA to expand electric vehicle technical training and aftersales workforce development on Friday, September 4.

The agreement was executed by PRO-NET Chief Executive Officer Zhang Qiang and TVETMARA Masjid Tanah Director Shabudin bin Said.

The strategic partnership aims to establish EV-specific technical training programs, on-the-job modules, internships, and apprenticeships for automotive students.

As part of the initiative, both entities will co-organise the inaugural e.MAS Electrified Excellence Competition for EV technicians and service advisors.

The agreement addresses expanding aftersales requirements following more than 6,000 Proton e.MAS vehicle registrations recorded as of August 31, 2026.
