Sony Electronics introduced the FE 400mm F4.5 GM OSS and FE 600mm F6.3 GM OSS lenses, weighing 994g and 995g respectively, on Tuesday, September 15.

The company stated both products are the lightest interchangeable super-telephoto prime lenses in their respective full-frame categories as of September 2026.

Both models incorporate three Super ED glass elements, one ED element, Nano AR Coating II, and an 11-blade circular aperture.

Autofocus is driven by two XD Linear Motors, supporting continuous shooting up to 120 frames per second with AF/AE tracking.

The optics feature optical image stabilisation, four focus hold buttons, physical switches, and dust and moisture resistance.

Sony stated the lenses would be available in late September. The FE 400mm F4.5 GM OSS and FE 600mm F6.3 GM OSS are priced at RM11,399 and RM15,999 respectively.
