Canon Marketing Malaysia and Penang Hill Corporation formalised a five-year partnership in Penang on Thursday, July 9, to document biodiversity at the Penang Hill Biosphere Reserve.

Canon became the official imaging partner of the corporation, providing professional cameras, lenses, and print solutions to support the site’s environmental initiatives.

The company supplied equipment for the Bird Documentation Project to build a visual archive of species in collaboration with the Malaysian Nature Society.

Both entities will jointly organise annual photography and videography workshops and establish five dedicated birdwatching spots across the 12,481-hectare reserve.

A public bird photography exhibition featuring native and migratory species was launched at the Penang Hill Station using Canon print technology.
